This is the server of Kazakhstan press club – the largest informational non-commercial organization of the nation.

The Kazakhstan Press Club (KPC) was established in 1994 as the first non-governmental and entirely independent Press Club in Central Asia. The KPC provides a variety of services for private and public sector clients. Some of these services include: public affairs and public relations services, public education campaigns, arrangment of press conferences, advertising, the production of electronic and print materials, the furthering of key governmental and press relationships, and the monitoring of local print media for news relevant to the economic development of Central Asia.

The KPC is a highly experienced institution fully integrated into the often complex Central Asian business and political environment. The KPC provides its clients the opportunity to establish credibility with more than 175 journalists, media centers, and advertising distributors in Almaty.

The Press Club regularly disseminates to, and receives information from, all the oblasts of the Republic of Kazakstan. It can provide press coverage for any event, issue bulletins and press releases, and monitor the regional and worldwide press.

The Press Club's staff also functions as a professional public relations firm for public and private corporations and organizations. Our experience has shown that on average 10-20 printed articles, 5-8 TV clips, and 7-10 radio references are generated from each KPC event. A conservative estimate of viewer data and newspaper distribution figures, would indicate that a minimum of 1 million Kazakhstani citizens hear about KPC press releases, media events and other activities every week.

The KPC is unique among local organizations, with extensive experience in designing, planning and conducting nation wide public education campaigns on diverse subjects. During the last five years, the KPC has conducted public education and information campaigns on a variety of topics including privatization, capital market development, pension reform, accounting reform, and reproductive health, for such clients as USAID, UNDP, and the Asian Development Bank.

The KPC also enjoys continuing support from the high level officials in the government of Kazakstan, the Kazakstani legislature and the government of the city of Almaty. Because of this support, the Center is able to provide access to key government officials.

History: The Kazakstan Press Club and Information Center was established in September 1994, as The Kazakstan Press Club. It was originally established by Burson-Marsteller, a United States based public relations and public education firm to gain access to the Kazakhstani media. Burson-Marsteller was under contract with the United States Agency for International Development to educate the public in matters of privatization and in the operation of capital markets.

The KPC is located in the Kazakhstan Academy of Science building, and remains a place where local journalists can gather, access international news sources, and freely exchange information on the emerging republic and its developing market economy.

Over the last few years the KPC has maintained strong relationships with media representatives throughout the Republic. These contacts have enabled the Center to provide a nationwide dissemination of information on, and support for public education efforts regarding the development of capital markets and the Republic's transition to a market economy. This exclusive network of more than 120 journalists is notable.

The Kazakhstan Press Club has offered numerous training sessions in marketing, ethics, advertising, promotion, market terminology, financial journalism and business reporting. Some of these sessions have been organized in cooperation with Oklahoma State University and the United States Information Service. Through effective utilization of the KPC's regional network, past training programs have attracted up to 100 participants.

KPC today is a dynamic and professional company with an outstanding reputation among media, clients, the government and other institutions.

KPC is headquartered in Almaty, maintains an office in Astana, and has representatives in every region of Kazakhstan. The KPC can arrange events for your company in any city of Kazakhstan.

KPC distributes information in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages. Our team includes professional PR and communications specialists, interpreters and editors with sound experience in their fields.
